Description
8th Annual twilight 5K run to benefit Common Ground Playground where all children, handicapped or not, can play together. Scenic run around scenic Lake Hollingsworth on road and walking trail with finish in Edgewood Park. Experienced race director/committee plus professional timing with chip system. Black long sleeve technical shirts, door prizes including 5 ipod shuffles, kids fun zone, 97 Country, live jumbo video at finish, finisher ribbons, butterfly awards, great food from Wendy’s, Starbucks refreshments, and free kids fun runs for ages 1-6. Five year award categories from “under 10 to M75+ and F65+”. We expect over 700 runners.
Event schedule and times
Early packet picket pickup including chip at Fitniche, Lakeside Mall, on Tuesday and Wednesday of raceweek from 5 until closing.
Raceday registration and packet pickup at Edgewood Park from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.
Race start at Lake Hollingsworth (5 min. walk from registration) at 7 p.m.
KIds fun runs approx 8 p.m.
Results/awards approx 8:30 p.m.
